Air Rifle Price in India: What Should You Pay?
Fair Indian prices for air guns by type: break-barrel rifles from about ₹10,000, CO2 pistols ₹6,000–22,000, PCP rifles ₹50,000+. What drives the price and how to spot a bad deal.
Airgun prices in India span roughly a tenfold range. Here is what each type fairly costs, so you can spot a bad deal instantly.
Typical street prices
- CO2 air pistols — around ₹6,000 to ₹22,000. Officially licensed replicas of Glock, Beretta, Walther and Colt sit at the top; unbranded blowbacks at the bottom.
- Spring / break-barrel rifles — around ₹10,000 to ₹25,000. Brands like Diana and Gamo hold their value.
- PCP air rifles — ₹50,000 upward. Higher power, far more shot count, and the natural upgrade path.
- Match pistols — ₹25,000 to ₹40,000 for 10m competition builds.
What drives the price?
Powerplant (spring < CO2 < PCP), brand licensing (official Glock/Beretta replicas cost more), build (metal vs polymer, rifled vs smoothbore barrel) and import duties on foreign models. A suspiciously cheap "Glock" is either fake or broken — genuine replicas hold their price.
How to spot a bad deal
- Price far below the category range — ask what is missing.
- No maker's markings, no packaging, no serial number.
- Seller cannot answer basic questions about caliber or powerplant.
- No safety briefing offered. We never sell without one.
